About Nurture Cup

Objectives of the Table Tennis Nurture Cup

• to promote table tennis both as a competitive and recreational sport;

• to nurture Singaporean table tennis talent.

The inaugural table tennis tournament “SP Group Table Tennis Nurture Cup 2011”, was held on 19th, 20th, 26th & 27th November 2011 at Kah Kee Hall (嘉庚堂), Ai Tong School, 100 Bright Hill Drive S(579646).

Ai Tong School Alumni Association, in collaboration with Sin Ten Sports Trading (joint organiser) and SP Group of Companies (main sponsor), launched the “SP Group Table Tennis Nurture Cup” to promote table tennis both as a competitive and recreational sport and to nurture Singaporean table tennis talent.

The “Singaporeans-only” competition, which comprise of Singles and Team events, aims to provide all Primary 1 to 6 Singaporean students who are passionate about table tennis the opportunity to participate in a tournament to stretch their skills, build up their confidence and make new friends from other schools in the process. To encourage more aspiring table tennis champions to come forward to participate in the competition, all STTA YDS (Youth Development Squad) & Char Yong Dabu Top 10 Youth players will not be NOT ELIGIBLE to participate in the singles event.
